Lott VFD Honors

On Feb. 1 the Lott Volunteer Fire Dept.  had their annual awards dinner.  The awards are as follows. Top left, the group photo with some brave individuals who rescued a young man June 10, 2023, when he was trapped inside his car which had hydroplaned and landed upside down in a ditch filled with water. But for the actions of these brave civilians and firefighters who flipped the vehicle out of the ditch and opened the doors the car would have been completely full of water in another minute or two. From left to right,  Kenny Kauffman FF , Shawna Lantz,  Janessa Miller , Wade Miller FF, (Austin and his dad Keith. Austin was the young man who was trapped in the car.)  Conrad Friesen FF and Lendall Miller FF and Tyler Miller. Not present , but also recognized was Joe Miller and Erny Kauenhofen FF. Top right, Lifetime Achievement award given to Chief Red Carson for his 20 years of service. Middle left, Community service award presented to Falls Furniture.Middle center, Assistant Chief Jeremy Fisher awarding past Assistant Chief Abram Martin for his 10 years of service. Abram stepped down in January after announcing he is moving out of the area. Middle right, Firefighter of the year presented to Kevin Kauffman.
