John Albert Kirkpatrick

John Albert Kirkpatrick, 87, of Lott, died Sunday, June 12, 2022, at a Temple hospital. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 16, in Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud. Rev. Don Fulton will officiate. Burial will follow in Powers Chapel Cemetery near Rosebud.

Mr. Kirkpatrick was born April 21, 1935, in Temple to William and Etta Mae Broughton Kirkpatrick. He graduated from Waco High School and Texas A&M University. He married Gwen Atkins in 1995. He worked as a rancher and owned a fertilizer business in Rosebud for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Willie Louise Kirkpatrick.

He is survived by his wife, Gwen Kirkpatrick of Lott; two step-sons, Wendell Crunk and Ronald Crunk, both of Asa; one sister, Hellen J. Brenner of  Crockett; three nephews, Michael Brenner, Kirk Brenner, and Rusty Brenner; and one niece, Leslie Jenkins.

Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
