Lady Cougars compete in KSA Tournament

The Rosebud-Lott Lady Cougars volleyball team traveled to Orlando, Fla., over the weekend for their semi-annual appearance in the KSA Tournament. 

The Lady Cougars did well in the tournament, finishing with a record of 3-3 and placing third in the small school division. 

Rosebud-Lott played three games on Friday, the first game was against the Geneva Lady Knights (Florida), and the Lady Cougars fell short, losing 2-1. They won the first set 25-20, lost the second set 25-18, then lost the third set 18-16. Up next was the Scarsdale Lady Raiders (New York). Rosebud-Lott defeated the Lady Raiders 2-0, winning the first set 25-21 and the second set 25-18.

Their final game of the day was against the Livingston Academy Lady Cats (Tennessee). Rosebud-Lott was defeated 2-0, losing the first set 25-15 and the second set 26-24. Rosebud-Lott would play three more games on Saturday. The first game was against the Lady of Knights of Highlands Christian (Florida). Rosebud-Lott swept Highlands Christian 2-0, winning the first set 25-23 and the second set 25-16. 

Up next for the Lady Cougars was a rematch against the Livingston Academy Lady Cats. Rosebud-Lott was defeated 2-0, losing the first set 26-24 and the second set 25-17. Their final game of the day was against the Somers Lady Tuskers (New York). Rosebud-Lott swept Somers 2-0, winning the first set 25-20 and the second set 25-15 to finish third in the small school division. 

After a home matchup against Texas Wind on Tuesday, the Lady Cougars will travel to take on the Bosqueville Lady Bulldogs. The game will be on Friday and is scheduled to start at 4:30 p.m.
