Brazos G Regional Water Planning Group Seeks Utility Representative

The Brazos G Regional Water Planning Group (Brazos G) is seeking nominations for a voting member representing the Electric Generating Utilities Interest Category within the Brazos G Regional Water Planning Area.

Nominations are being accepted now through 5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 14, 2025, and should include a new member application form, resume, and up to six letters of support. Current Brazos G voting members may not issue support letters.

Nominees must meet all three of the following criteria: Own or operate, for compensation, equipment or facilities that produce or generate electricity.

Produce or generate electricity for wholesale or retail sale to others.

Are neither a municipal corporation nor a river authority.

In selecting a new voting member, Brazos G will consider qualifications, willingness to participate in the regional water planning process, and commitment to follow group bylaws. Voting members also strive for geographic, ethnic, and gender diversity.

The Executive Committee will review and process all nominations before recommending a candidate to the full voting membership. However, the committee and the voting membership are not bound by nominations received and may consider any qualified individual.

Brazos G members are not compensated for their service, but eligible members may be reimbursed for travel expenses in accordance with Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) rules, as funds allow.
