Falls County remembers those who served

Last Monday, May 28, a service for Memorial Day was hosted at the Falls County Courthouse at 11:00 a.m, inside the third floor District Courtroom.

Memorial Day is an American holiday, that became official in 1971, it is observed on the last Monday in May and honors the men and women who have died while serving in the U.S military.

Waterloo, N.Y, is well known as the birthplace of Memorial Day because the first service was hosted there in honor of local veterans who had fought in the Civil War.
