Falls County Welcomes Caleb Miller Home
The community of Rosebud welcomed the late fire chief Caleb Miller home with a procession on May 6.
Following his passing in a UTV accident in Burnet County last week, Caleb’s remains were escorted home by Central Texas first responders and the Rosebud Volunteer Fire Department.
“To the Marble Falls Volunteer Fire Department: Thank you for watching over Chief Miller and standing guard by his side until we could get there to bring him home,” Jay Shults with the Rosebud VFD said on Facebook.
“Your presence in those moments, your respect, your vigilance and your compassion is something our department and his family will never forget. In a time of deep grief, you showed what true fire service brotherhood looks like. Your support has brought us strength when we needed it most, and we are forever grateful for the honor you gave our Chief.”
The Marlin Volunteer Fire Department extended their condolences to the Miller family on Facebook.
“Our prayers go out to Caleb’s family and friends,” the post said. “Our prayers go out to the Rosebud Volunteer Fire Department. We are here for you. This is where that thin red line, that we talk about so much, stands the strongest….right here…. we have strong shoulders for you to lean on. We are all family.”
