High School Basketball Results, and a Look Ahead
The high school basketball season is nearing full force ahead. Girls teams were in action last week, and a few of the boys teams got started too. After the Thanksgiving break, local teams will be out in action and tournament play should be full swing as well. Let’s take a look at results from last week, and a gander at what’s ahead in the next week.
Monday, November 17, 2025
Thorndale’s Middle School Lady Dogs picked up two wins. The 7th Grade Lady Dogs beat Milano 422, while the 8th Grade Lady Dogs won 30-20 over Milano. In boys action, the MS Bulldogs 7th Grade team defeated Milano, 54-4, while the 8th Grade Bulldogs brought home the win, 2715.
Cameron Yoe Lady Yoemen 7/8B team defeated Rockdale, 13-6 (Raelyn Woods 11, Brooklyn Davenport 2); Lady Yoemen 7A team won against Rockdale, 56-0 (Keely Flemings 22, Nia Mobley 13, Sincere Barnes 9); Lady Yoemen 8A fell to Rockdale, 36-25 (Trinity Scott 10, Taraji Taylor 10, Abrie Olivarri 4)

The Thorndale Lady Dogs defeated Snook, 4635. The JV Lady Dogs picked up a 29-11 win over Snook’s Lady JV team.
The Milano Lady Eagles fell to the Hearne Lady Eagles, 43-34. It was a home win for the Rosebud-Lott Lady Cougars, as they defeated the Wortham Lady Bulldogs, 53-29.
The Marlin Lady Bulldogs beat Mexia 64-32.
Holland defeated the Cameron Yoe Lady Yoemen, 75-40.

The Thorndale Lady Dogs varsity picked up a five point, 30-25 win over the Moody Lady Bearcats.
The Milano Eagles dropped a tough game to Dime Box, 57-40, but the Lady Eagles scored the dub, with an impressive 54-29 drubbing of the Dime Box Lady Longhorns.
Cameron Yoe Yoemen defeated Chilton, 79-25.
Cameron Yoe Lady Yoemen fell to Troy, 55-20 The Marlin Bulldogs fell to Itasca on the road, 5247.
Marlin Lady Bulldogs lost to Franklin, 32-23 (Anderson- Shiro Tourney) Marlin Lady Bulldogs dropped a tough game to the Columbus Lady Cardinals, 52-44 (Anderson-Shiro Tourney) Buckholts Badgers fell to Waelder, 88-23.
