Sonntags Celebrate 50th Anniversary

On December 27, 1975, two hearts promised forever, and fifty years later that promise has only grown stronger. Through every season of life, Ann and Doug Sonntag have walked hand in hand, filling their days with love, laughter, and the quiet beauty of a life well-shared.

Doug and Ann have shared their gift of teaching with numerous scholars in the classrooms of Rosebud-Lott and Cameron school districts. Ann has always had a song in her heart, sharing her gift of music throughout her lifetime as the organist at First Baptist Church of Rosebud. Doug, ever the steady one, has found simple joy watching over his cows and tending the land he loves.

As beloved retired school teachers and faithful, longtime members of First Baptist Church Rosebud, they have touched countless lives with their kindness, wisdom, and unwavering devotion.

Today, their greatest joy is the family they treasure: their son Kevin and his wife Jennifer of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and their children Evelyn, Mack, and June; their daughter Emily and her husband Ken of Temple, Texas, and their children Callen and McKinley; and their son Adam and his wife Karissa of Katy, Texas, and their children Bowen, Sadie, and Everett.

With hearts overflowing, their children and grandchildren celebrate this golden milestone and the beautiful love story that still inspires us every day.

Happy 50th Wedding Anniversary, Mom and Dad, Mamatag and Papatag!

Your love—for each other, for your family, for music and cattle and this sweet town of Rosebud— remains our greatest blessing and most treasured example.
