16th Annual Salado Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament

Salado, Tx – September 23, 2020 The Salado Chamber of Commerce is partnering with title sponsor Vet-Com.Org to host the 16th Annual Chamber Golf Tournament on Thursday, October 22 at the Mill Creek Country Club in Salado. 

“This is the first event that the Salado Chamber has been able to hold this year and we are excited to have area golfers come out and participate,” said Kenny Kelarek, board member and chairman of the event.  “It really is more than a golf tournament for us, it is a chance to see people come together to support our local business environment that has struggled during the Covid crisis.” 

The event begins at 11:30am with lunch, sponsored by Fairway Mortgage.  Golf foursomes will shotgun start at 1:00 p.m.  Teams of four are $350 and single players $100.00. Hospitality sponsor, First Community Title will be onsite for refreshments throughout the day. 

The Helicopter Ball Drop, sponsored by Horizon Bank, will begin when all golfers have completed the course.  Freedom Air will fly their Robinson R44 aircraft over the golf course and drop over 1000 marked golf balls at the drop site on the course.  The ball closest to the hole will award the numbered winner $1000.00.  Raffle tickets for balls can be purchased for 5 tickets for $20.00 or 1 ticket for $10.00 at the event or from the chamber office.  Teams can download the registration form at www.salado.com/events.
