HOT Goodwill Industries announces The Rise Program

Taking your career to new heights.

The Rise Program is designed to help those looking to take their career to new heights with an accredited high school diploma.

Students take the high school course online through Ed2Go and receive face-to-face employability skills and financial literacy training in a classroom setting. A Success Coach works with students to develop Individualized Career and Financial Plans to set career advancement and financial goals. The Success Coach also provides one-on-one support to ensure students successfully complete the program, advance their careers, and build secure financial futures.

Benefits of Rise

Completed high school credits and/or GED tests can be transferred into the existing modules and credited toward yours completion of the program. In addition to receiving a high school diploma, you can receive a Career Certificate in one of the following fields:

  • Food & Hospitality
  • Retail Customer Service
  • Office Management
  • Professional Skills
  • Child Care and Education
  • Transportation Services
  • Homeland Security
  • Certified Protection Officer
  • Hospitality
  • Home Care Professional

Program Eligibility

  • Must be 17 years or older
  • Must have less than a high school diploma or GED
  • Must be employed
  • Must be willing to maintain constant communication with the Success Coach
  • Must be willing to complete weekly online coursework
  • Must be willing to participate in all assigned employability skills trainings and classes
  • Must be willing to participate in all assigned financial literacy courses

Cost for Program is $2,500.

*Financial assistance is available to McLennan County residents only, at this time. A financial assistance application must be completed with the Rise Success Coach if accepted into the Rise Program.

Financial Assistance Qualifications

  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • Must demonstrate a financial need by submitting a copy of previous year’s income tax return AND, if applicable, other income documentation
  • Applicants under the age of 21 who live with and are financially dependent on their parents, must be able to submit a copy of their parents’ previous year’s income tax return to demonstrate financial need
