A LOOK BACK

The Rosebud ex-Students Association met at the Dairy King last Monday night, September 26 to elect officers and make final plans for the 1967 Homecoming Celebration to be held October 13, and 14.

The new officers are Betty Joe Raabe, president; Bobby Bailey, vice-president; William Meier, secretary; and Jack Kilgore, treasurer/ reporter.

The possibility of organizing a Jaycee chapter in Rosebud will be aired at an open meeting, which has been scheduled by the Waco Jaycees for 7:30 p.m. October 5 at the Belfalls Electric Cooperative.

According to the Waco Jaycees, the meeting was set at the request of many city young men who have expressed an interest in forming a Jaycee unit here.

Texas District, Heart O’ Texas Council, Boy Scouts of America will hold it’s Annual Fall Camporee on October 6, 7, and 8 at Hammond (Donkey Flats) Ranch near Calvert. Approximately 200 Scouts and Explorers are expected to start checking in on Friday evening.

The Bremond Tigers will be the opponents for the Black Panthers next week, October 6.Bremond hasn’t played opponents of the caliber of Rosebud’s, but the Tigers have a very good record to date. Their record is 2-0-1, having defeated Mildred 36-3, tied Centerville 12-12, and defeated Calvert 12-6.
