RICK KENNEDY TO HOLD FIRST DIGITAL TOWN HALL

Topic: Looking at Health Care Through the Prism of COVID-19

AUSTIN,TX, April 17, 2020 - Rick Kennedy, Democratic candidate for US House TX17, will host his first digital town hall on Wednesday, April 22, 2020, 6:00-6:30pm CT. He will talk about the challenges with our health care system both in the current pandemic and in the future. His short presentation will be followed by a Q&A session.

“Communicating with the residents of this congressional district is always important to me, but during these unprecedented times--it’s even more critical,” says Kennedy.

“To be honest, I’ve really missed my travels across the district and getting to visit with people. I very much prefer in-person communication. It energizes me to hear what’s going on in their lives and what’s important to them. When I get elected, I intend to return to the traditional format of in-person town halls. I’ve always viewed digital communication as a supplement to live town halls for those times when we can’t gather in-person. I want to stay open to all the best ways of communicating,” he continued.
