Early voting is underway statewide for the March 3, 2026 Primary Election, and Falls County Residents can visit the Falls County Courthouse Annex (1910 Industrial Park Rd. Marlin, TX 76661) to vote ahead of Election Day.
The Falls County Republican Party hosted a Candidate Roundup at the Marlin Men’s Civic Association (MMCA) building on President’s Day, giving candidates in contested county races an opportunity to speak, as well as a few statelevel candidates.
The Falls County Commissioners Court met February 9, 2026, Judge Jay Elliott presiding. Commissioners present were Milton Albright (Pct. 1), F. A. Green (Pct. 2), Jason Willberg (Pct. 3) and Nita Wuebker (Pct. 4). ADA Steve Sharp was in attendance.
Congratulations to Callen Meyer! He won second place and scored highly on the point test at the Swine Skillathon in San Antonio. Skillathon is a competition that tests each individual’s expertise in swine production, industry, and management. It involves taking a test, interactive stations, and an interview. They have skillathon contests for most species and other skillathons related to agriculture.
The Rosebud Wednesday Study Club members were treated to a Valentine themed program featuring love songs from movies for their February 11th meeting. Ellen Frazier from Round Rock, sister of President Carol Stock and Treasurer Sharon Skupin, presented the musical program.
