Cougar Theatre to Present Scenes from “A Company of Wayward Saints” on Monday

The Rosebud-Lott High School’s Cougar Theatre Department will be performing “A Company of Wayward Saints” by Geroge Herman on Monday, April 13 at 7:00 pm in the Rosebud-Lott High School Theater. Admission is $5, and all proceeds from the performance will go toward scholarships for seniors.

George Herman’s “A Company of Wayward Saints” is a lively comedic drama that follows a dysfunctional troupe of commedia dell’arte actors led by the charismatic Harlequin (Lane Endsley). Stranded far from home, the troupe attempts to secure funding from a wealthy duke by staging an ambitious performance of “The History of Man.”

Their production begins with The Fall of Adam and Eve, portrayed by the Lovers, Tristano (Jayden Martin) and Isabella (Ariah Campbell), before leaping into the Roman era with the tale of Odysseus, played by Capitano (Perry Lorenz), and Penelope, played by Colombine (Haylee Alexis). But behind the scenes, clashing egos, selfish ambitions, and constant infighting threaten to tear the company apart. Can they overcome their differences in time to save their future—or will their own flaws bring the curtain down?

Join this spirited band of traveling players— alongside the rest of their company. Ruffiana (Bella Aguillon), Dottore (Braden Guthrie), Pantalone (Peyton Williams), and Scapino (Luke Price)— for an evening filled with laughter, heart, and the enduring power of the human spirit. The crew includes Elyssa Hinton (Stage Manager), Flore Perez (Stage Manager), Parker Peters (Lights), William Marmon (Lights), Kimberly Johns (Sound), Micah Portillo (Sound), Izayah Davis (Special Lights), Justin Portillo (Crew), Leia Waldrop (Crew) and Kayci Eckman (Crew).
