Cougars Place 2nd Overall at State Powerlifting Meet

Out of out 420 schools in the state of Texas (1A & 2A are included with division 4), the Rosebud- Lott Cougars finished second overall at the State Powerlifting Meet in Abilene.

Senior Luke Price won the silver medal in his division and now holds the new state record on bench press with 525 pounds.

Sophomore Aiden Dominguez- Cruz was a 2nd Place medalist. Junior Miguel Juarez finished as a 5th Place medalist as did freshman Michael Flores.

Freshman Micah Portillo garenered 7th Place in his division.

“I am very proud of how well the boys competed,” Coach Daniel Gilmore said. “They could not have been more prepared and dialed in. I am lucky to coach them.”
