‘Change in the Weather’ tour coming to courthouse in Marlin on June 24

KWTX announced last week upcoming community events throughout Central Texas to officially honor the 30-year career of retiring Chief Forecaster Rusty Garrett and to welcome long-time morning Meteorologist Brady Taylor to evenings as your Breaking News and Weather Authority’s Chief, and one of those stops will be in Marlin.

Last month Garrett announced he would step down, after a threedecade career protecting the lives of Central Texans and educating thousands on severe weather safety through the Project Tornado Program.

“I’m incredibly grateful and humbled to have been part of so many families’ daily lives and I’m 110 percent confident in my friend Brady Taylor to continue our legacy as the most trusted station for weather in the decades to come,” said retiring Chief Forecaster Rusty Garrett.
