14th Annual Central Texas Stocker Cattle Program set
Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, McLennan County along with multiple county extension committees will host the 14th Annual Central Texas Stocker Cattle Program on Wednesday, June 26, at the West Auction Barn in West.
Justin Richards and Shawna Ranley, Capital Farm Credit will present on “Agriculture Financing in a Changing World.” Brian Uptmore, Auctioneer and Manager, West Livestock Auction will provide a Live Cattle Demonstration while speaking about “Defining the Dollar Value of Cattle.”
Chris Ford, Agent, Federal Bureau of Investigation will talk about the “Importance of Securing a Safe Food Supply.”
Dr. John Pollreisz, Veterinarian, Zoetis Animal Health will explain the “Proper Vaccination for Carcass Integrity.”
Dr. Jason Cleere, Associate Professor & Extension Cattle Specialist will speak on “Nutrition, Forage First.” Dr. David Anderson, Professor & Extension Economist will end the day with a “Cattle Market Update.”
The registration will begin at 7:30 a.m, $20 registration fee. Breakfast and lunch included.
