19 Annual Lott Silent Auction continues to show growth

On Saturday, October 27, the Lott First Baptist Church hosted their 19th Annual Silent Auction event.

The event was originally started by the late and former Principal of Lott Elementary, Bob Collier, to provide food for shut-ins, and to raise money for underprivelaged youths during Christmas. 19 short years later, and the event is still going, stronger than ever. Starting early in the day, at 10:00 a.m, people began to pile into the location of the event, looking over the multitude of different objects, while trying to decide what they liked best. All throughout the building tables were lined with items such as dishware, decorations, clothes, books, and toys.

There was even a skeleton hanging around waiting for a potential new home that could be used for a resting place.
