An investigation initiated by Heart of Texas Auto Theft Task Force in March focused on a McLennan County auto parts dealer accused of neglecting to report $3 million’s worth of fraudulentlydocumented sales to a local metal recycler.
The Heart of Texas Auto Theft Task Force found out someone was using an expired salvage license to employ up to 10 people to sell stolen or abandoned cars and parts to the Waco recycler.
