69th Annual Homecoming held at Lott

Ex-students of the Lott school gathered in the gym of the Lott Elementary School Saturday, October 13, for the annual Homecoming sponsored by the Lott Ex-Students Association which was established in 1949. The first graduating class from Lott was in 1898 and the last was 1970. After 1970, high school students attended Rosebud-Lott High School in Travis. The Association consists of graduates, ex-students, teachers, staff, family and friends. Registration began at 10 a.m. and more than 185 were in attendance. Special tables were a Hospitality Table sponsored by Doris McKinney Stegall and LaVerne Becker Cockerham. Author Dorothy Reaves Polley and her son, Lloyd, had a table displaying her book, Lott and Her People. Copies could be purchased and the author was autographing them. Another table held many school annuals for everyone to enjoy.
