Agreement over Intermediate School still being discussed
While the Rosebud City Council has accepted the contract over the donation of the Rosebud Intermediate School, there were still a few things that School Board members wanted to look over and discuss. This lead to the agenda item being tabled until the next meeting.
The parts of the contract board members wanted more time to look over were the reversion and exclusivity clauses. The City wanted to put a limit on the reversion clause. According to the school’s lawyers there is a state statute on the clause protecting against the gift being sold if at any time it is no longer being used as a municipal building. If that ever happens with the Intermediate School building, then the property will automatically become the school again.
