ROSEBUD FIRE DEPARTMENT STEAK DINNER

Rosebud Fire Department’s Steak Dinner will take place on Saturday, April 29, at Westphalia Parish Hall. Doors open for registration at 5 p.m. with dinner and drinks from 6-7:30 p.m. DJ Music by Ty Pitts at 7:30 p.m. Prizes include over $10,000 in gift cards and guns. Contact any Rosebud VFD member for tickets. Each tickets is $125 for you and a guest for 10 oz ribeye, baked potato, green beans, salad and dessert.

 

PRE-K AND KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION

Rosebud-Lott Elementary School will hold registration for Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten during the week of April 10-14  between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. each day. Please call (254) 583-7965 for additional information and document requirements.

 

Pastor reception

Stephen James was called by unanimous vote to serve as the pastor of First Baptist Church - Lott on April 14, 2013. This Saturday, April 15, the church will honor Pastor Stephen, his wife Hilarie, and sons Rett and Henry at a Come and Go Reception from 1-3 p.m. in the church’s Annex at 5th and Gassaway, Lott. The entire community is invited to come and offer their appreciation to the James Family, who have given unselfishly of themselves in ministering  to both their church family and to their community with love and compassion for the last 10 years.

 

Tri-county miss juneteenth

Tri-County Miss Juneteenth Scholarship Pageant will hold its informational meeting on Saturday, April 15. This is last chance for contestants to apply. Ages are 5-18. Family fun day

Country Worship Cowboy Church will host a Team Roping event on May 7 for the 22nd Annual Family Fun Day. Join at 10 a.m. for church with special music and message from recording artist Rex Robards followed by a fish fry lunch. Team Roping 4 for $80. fREE TRASH DAY

Falls County Free Trash Day will be held at two locations - Marlin and Lott - on Saturday, May 6, from 8 a.m. to noon or until dumpsters are full. Two Locations: Falls County Jail Site, 2847 Hwy. 6, Marlin; Waste Collection Station, 330 S. Hwy. 77, Lott. Batteries, Appliances and Brush (no larger than 3” in diameter) Will Be Accepted. NO TIRES - No Chemicals - No Hazardous Waste - No Roofing Materials.

 

VETERANS 

ASSISTANCE

Caritas of Waco Inc. will be in Marlin every first and third Monday of the month as part of their Veterans Case Management Program: Assistance For Veterans/Outreach. GRIEFSHARE 

GriefShare, a special help seminar and support group for people experiencing grief over the loss of a loved one, will be held on Tuesday mornings, 10 a.m. to noon at the First Baptist Church in Marlin through April 18, 2023. Meetings will be held in the Lamplighter’s Room of the church which is located at 309 Coleman Street in Marlin.
