Bridge replacement begins over Pond Creek Tributary

The Texas Department of Transportation began a project to replace the bridge on County Road 469/2nd Street at Pond Creek Tributary in Rosebud on Jan. 6.

The existing structure will be replaced with a wider, longer, concrete bridge that meets current roadway safety and design specifications. The approaches to the structure will also be upgraded and replaced.    

Ellis -McGinnis Construction Company of Eddy is undertaking this off-system bridge replacement project at a cost of approximately $360,000.  

Work will take place between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday thru Friday, weather permitting, and the project is expected to be completed in the spring of 2020.  

TxDOT urges residents to be cautious and watch for construction personnel and equipment in the work area.
