City of Lott Rallies for Students, Donates Over 2,300 School Supplies
In a heartwarming display of community support, the City of Lott has successfully wrapped up its annual school supply drive, collecting over 2,300 individual items—including 54 backpacks—for local students just in time for the new school year.
The drive, organized by city officials and local volunteers, drew support from residents and businesses alike, all contributing to ensure that students return to school feeling prepared and confident. The supplies will be distributed to Rosebud-Lott Middle and High School students, among others in the area.
“Because of your generosity, local students will head back to school feeling confident and ready to learn,” the city said in a public statement. “Whether you donated or helped spread the word, we are so grateful. This community showed up in such a big way, and it truly makes a difference.”
Staff at Rosebud-Lott Middle and High School expressed their gratitude following the donation, highlighting the real impact it will have on their students.
“Thank you so much, City of Lott!” school officials said. “We really appreciate the supplies! These will come in very handy and will help our kiddos more than you’ll ever know!”
The annual drive reflects a broader commitment by Lott residents to invest in their youth and support public education through grassroots efforts. With the new school year fast approaching, many families who may have faced financial barriers can now cross one more item off their back-to-school list.
Local organizers said they hope the success of this year’s drive inspires even more participation in the future.
“It’s about more than just notebooks and backpacks,” one volunteer said. “It’s about giving every student the tools—and the confidence—they need to succeed.”
