City of Rosebud receives Traffic Safety Award

The Texas Municipal Courts Education Center’s Municipal Traffic Safety Initiatives grant recently sponsored the traffic safety awards to recognize Municipal courts that have participated in furthering the education of impaired driving in their communities. The awards are given as a way for municipalities to increase awareness though traffic safety activities. The Rosebud Municipal court has been given an award for Honorable Mention out of over 900 municipal courts throughout the state of Texas. 

Applicants were judged on their activities relation to increasing traffic safety while preventing impaired driving, traffic crashes, traffic fatalities, and other traffic related offenses. The Rosebud Municipal Court performed a drunk cart demonstration, supplied traffic safety materials to the city, and has the Hank the Safety hound Facebook page that has information on traffic safety.
