Coker lifts to State runner up

A Rosebud-Lott girls’ powerlifter was a state runner-up at the Texas High School Women’s Powerlifting Association Class 1A-2A State Championships in Waco on Friday, March 15.
Clara Coker hoisted a total of 875 pounds to take second place in the 181-pound weight class. Her total was 5 pounds ahead of the third-place finisher.
Coker trailed only state champion Britney George of Hawley, who lifted a total of 1,060 pounds.
The Rosebud-Lott lifter edged Cydney Morgan of Hico, who finished third with 870 pounds.
