Commissioners take care of county business

The Falls County Commissioners Court met Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2024, witih County Judge Jay Elliott presiding. Commissioners present were Milton Albright (Pct. 1), F.A. Green (Pct. 2), Jason Willberg (Pct. 3), Nita Wuebker (Pct. 4) and ADA Steve Sharp.

To provide a more efficient, higher quality, and/or more costeffective provision of government services, an Interlocal Cooperative Agreement was approved between the County and the City of Golinda. The City of Golinda will pay the County $1687.88 for labor and equipment provided and work performed.

In other matters, Commissioners approved the Southern Health Partners  2025-26 contract period with a 5 percent adjustment beginning March 2025.  Bonding was approved for Stephen Blair Smith Sheriff Department. 

Unless a holiday is on a Monday, Commissioners Court meeting were approved for the second and fourth Mondays.

The payment of bills, budget amendments and payroll were approved in addition to the minutes from the Dec. 9, 2024, meeting. The next meeting is Jan. 13 at 9 a.m.
