Cougar Band Advances to Area

The Cougar Band advanced to Area competition on Nov. 2 after earning all 1’s at Regional competion. They have had a great fall marching season. At the Troy Marching Invitational on Oct. 2 they received 1st division for Color Guard, Percussion, and band. At the Teague Marching Invitational on Oct. 5 out of 30 2A-6A bands they received 3rd place overall Champion; 2nd place Color Guard; and 1st division for Color Guard, Percussion, and band. At the Lake Whitney Marching Classic on Oct. 12 they received Outstanding Woodwind, Guard, and 2A band, and Grand Champion Award (1st place Plaque).
