Did you meet the Cougars?

Everyone in Rosebud-Lott got a chance to meet to Cougars at this years Pre Labor Day Meet the Cougars Celebration.

The Rosebud Chamber of Commerce and the Volunteer Fire Department invited the Rosebud-Lott community out to meet the athletes of this year’s football and volleyball teams, the high school and middle school cheerleaders, and the new coaches, as well as the Youth League football players and cheerleaders. The high school’s marching band also made an appearance. There was also entertainment from singer Justin Cole.

Many people also participated in the raffle put on by the Chamber. All the proceeds from ticket sales go to help with Chamber events as well as other events in town such as the Fourth of July Parade, Neighbors Night Out, and the Texas Gravel Championship race.

Members of the Volunteer Fire Department used the festivities as a perfect time to hold their Pre Labour Day dinner. They served hamburgers, chips, and a drink for five dollars.

The street between the Fire Department and Main was blocked off and filled by members of the community who came out to enjoy each other’s company, and show support for the athletes who represent them so well.
