Early voting begins for November

Early voting for the Nov. 8 election began on Monday.

Early voting is only being offered at the Falls County Courthouse Annex Building at 1910 Industrial Park Road in Marlin.

It will continue this week and next week. Times are: Oct. 26 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Oct. 27 from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; Oct. 28 from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; Oct. 31 from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; Nov. 1 from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; Nov. 2 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Nov. 3 from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; Nov. 4 from 7:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Election day voting will take place on Nov. 8 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. 

Locations are: Pct. 101 – Methodist Fellowship Hall in Marlin; Pct. 102 Ward Street Church of Christ Annex in Marlin; Pct. 103 – Otto Community Center; Pct. 201 – Reagan Community Center; Pct. 202 – Davis Chapel United Methodist Church in Marlin; Pct. 203  - Booker T. Washington Alumni Building in Marlin; Pct. 301 – Lott Fire Department; Pct. 302 – D Brown Library in Rosebud; Pct. 303 – Westphalia Community Center; Pct. 401 – Country Worship Cowboy Church in Lott; Pct. 402 – Chilton Volunteer Fire Department; Pct. 403 – Golinda City Hall.

Falls County voters will elect a County Judge between Jay Elliott and Cynthia Bigham Derry, along with State Rep for District 13 between Angelia Orr and Cedric Davis Sr.; State Senator District 22 between Brian Birdwell and Jeremy Schroppel; and US Rep for District 17 between Pete Sessions and Mary Jo Waoods.

Several statewide offices are on the ballot. Those include: Governor – Greg Abbott and Beto O’Rourke; Lieutenant Governor – Dan Patrick, Mike Collier and Shanna Steele; Attorney General – Ken Paxton, Rochelle Mercedes Garza and Mark Ash; Comptroller – Glenn Hegar, Janet T. Dudding and V. Alonzo Echevarra-Garza; Land Commissioner – Dawn Buckingham, Jay Kelberg and Alfred Molison Jr.; Ag Commissioner – Sid Miller and Susan Hays; and Railroad Commissioner – Wayne Christian, Luke Warford, Jaime Andrew Diez, and Hunter Wayne Crow.
