Falls County American Legion Post 31 Banner Program created

Banners will be displayed on existing light standards located along Main St/Live Oak St. in Marlin, but will eventually expand to Rosebud, and possibly other areas of Falls County.

The Armed Forces Banner Program was created for the community, to recognize and honor individuals on active duty by displaying the honoree's photo, name, and armed service branch on a banner to be flown from the light standards throughout the City.

Banners will be displayed on existing light standards located along Main St/Live Oak St. in Marlin, but will eventually expand to Rosebud, and possibly othert area of Falls County. The banners will remain on display as long as the service member in on active duty.

Program Qualifications:

To qualify for the Armed Forces Banner Program, the following qualifications must be met:

  • must be on active duty from one of the branches of the U.S. Armed Forces

  • must be a current or former resident of Falls County, Texas OR have an immediate family member residing or working in Falls County. (Spouse, Parent, Grandparent, Brother, Sister, Son, Daughter, Aunt, Uncle)

Application Information:

  • The cost of the Active Duty banner is $150. Banners will be funded through private donations. Banners may be sponsored by an individual or an organization.

  • Submit a photo of the Service Member of at least 5x7 size or larger. Must be professional-style (dress uniform preferred) and in color.

  • Banners will be flown throughout the year
