Falls County at Four Cases as of 4/29
Today Falls County was notified of a fourth positive case of COVID-19.
It was previously published that an individual who outed herself on Facebook was one of the two cases announced Monday, but in fact, that individual is the case that was announced today.
“Ms. Perez was not considered a case until the state notified us at 10:57 this morning,” Jay Shults, who is involved with Emergency Management for the county, told reporters.
Anonymous sources say that Perez was taken from her home in Marlin this morning due to respiratory issues. Her current state is unknown.
According to Falls County Judge Jay Elliott, the other two active cases are from the east side of the Brazos River in Falls County.
There may be more untested cases within the county, but official numbers only follow how many tests have come back positive.
Stay tuned for more updates.
