Falls County shooters win national championship

Two members of the Falls County 4-H Shooting Sports Program recently competed in the 2017 National 4-H Shooting Sports Championships in Grand Island, NE. 714 competitors from 34 states came together for the eighteenth Annual National Championships. These shooters competed in Air Pistol, Air Rifle, Compound Archery, Recurve Archery, Muzzleloading Rifle, Hunting Skills, Shotgun, Smallbore Pistol, and Smallbore Rifle

Deanna Utz of Chilton 4-H represented Team Texas as a member of the Smallbore Pistol Team. Her team placed third in Hunter Pistol Silhouette and Deanna placed ninth as an individual in that event. In the overall contest of Smallbore Pistol, her team placed third.
