Famous gravel race has date change to beat heat

The Texas Gravel Championship bike race, sponsored by Gritty Teeth Racing and Tri-City Bicycles has become a time honored tradition for the community of Rosebud over the years.
Since the first race, two years ago, it has been hosted annually sometime in the month of the August.
Changes to the date have recently been announced.
For the 2018 races, they will not be hosted in August; instead they will take place on Saturday, May 5. The first round of races is set to begin in the early morning hours around 6:30 a.m., with a finish time set for much in later in day around 3:30 p.m.
