On July 7 at approximately 9:30 a.m. a fire broke out in west Rosebud in a hay bailer. Wyatt Zipperlen and Dustin Skala with RVFD arrived on scene and immediately set to work, at great personal risk they saved at least four structures and possibly prevented a massive fire that would have burned part of Rosebud. They were assisted by several civilians, Steve Hargrove, and Brian Arispie. Rosebud City Administrator Kenny Ray Murray said these men exhibited exceptional courage and fortitude. They were doggedly determined to subdue the fire no matter what needed to be done.
