Keeping Falls County healthy

On January 10, the Falls Community Hospital Auxiliary met for its quarterly business meeting at noon in the hospital conference room. New President Lois Moran called the meeting to order, Frankie Evans offered up an opening prayer, and while members enjoyed a delicious soup lunch provided by the Dietary Department, Jeff Lyle, Hospital Administrator, reviewed recent physician hired, days and hours they will see patient at FCHC and other plans for the upcoming year. Dr. Perez will be fulltime as of February 1. Patients must call and make an appointment prior to signing in to see the doctor. Lyle thanked the Auxiliary members. Many people who come to the Emergency Room will benefit from this gift, as well as many other gifts the Auxiliary has provided. Mr. Lyle drew attention to the work done recently by TORCH near the Live Oak Street Clinic entrance. New plantings, furniture and a general clean-up has enhanced that side of the hospital clinic immensely. Jessica Ford, Lyle’s assistant, next presented pins to members who had worked enough hours to earn next level service pins: Charlotte Fowler, 100 hrs; Frankie Evans, 300 hrs; Margaret Abel, 800 hrs; Carolyn Erskine 1200hrs; Lois Moran 14400 hrs and Kay Woliver, 3000 hrs.
