Lady Cougars down Crawford, Chilton next

They have been playing good basketball all season long but have basically slipped under the radar of most observers.

The Rosebud Lott Lady Cougars started as an inexperienced young team but have steadily matured on the court and become one of the areas most competitive basketball teams.

They entered their Tuesday game with an 7-2 record in second place, two games back of unbeaten Crawford in the district standings. Their opponent on Tuesday, none other than the Crawford Lady Pirates. If ever there was an opportunity to make up stem end for themselves It was time for the Lady Cougars to make a statement if they had any plans of making a run at the title. They did just that, defeating the Lady Pirates in a thriller at home 39-38.

Rosebud Lott took an early lead in the game 10-7 after the first quarter but would see the Lady Pirates rally in the second quarter and tie the game at 20-20 going into halftime.
