Library’s summer reading program a big success

The D Brown Memorial Library ended its Summer Reading Program with a roar. 

Each child had a log to fill out and keep track of how many minutes they read each day.

The winners for each age group in our program are:

7-12 years old: First Place - Brooklyn Gorman - total of 2,463 minutes of reading; Second Place - Cadence Sanders – Total of 2,210 minutes of reading; Third Place - Nolan Lopez – Total of 1,376 minutes of reading

4-6 years old: First Place: - Annalise Sanders – Total of 1,558 minutes of reading; Second Place - Sophia Swiegart – Total of 491 min of reading; Third Place - Maddison Seeley – Total of 215 minutes of reading

0-3 years old: First Place - Evelina Lopez – Total of 1,060 minutes of reading; Second Place - Mariah Swiegart -Total of 530 minutes of reading: Third Place - Lee Parrish – Total of 300 mins of reading

The Staff at The D Brown Memorial Library would like to say thank you to all the parents and grandparents who took time out of their day to read, keep track and bring their child or children to our Storytime for our program. 

The program would not have been a success if it were not for our Storytime Readers. They were Mary Quaas - City of Rosebud, Holli Yargo - City of Rosebud, Taylor Carothers, FCHC Rosebud Clinic (Erin Holland FNP, Mallory Glenn MA, Britni Burks Student FNP) and Lott Police Department. Also, with the help of the donations from Highway77 Café (Rosebud), Jake’s Backdoor BBQ & Grill (Rosebud), Marlin Walmart, Doug & Cindy Lewis (Rosebud), FCHC Rosebud Clinic Staff, Isabel McBee (Rosebud), Rosebud Ministerial Alliance Fund and Wednesday Study Club and Isela Newman, our Tails & Tales Summer Reading Program was great.
