Local historical church moves forward with rebuilding plans

The Marlin church, which celebrated its 105th year anniversary in October 2018, stood as an anchor for many Marlin families who once called it home. It moved to its present location from a house gathering on George Street. According to church historian Bobbie Weakly, in 1918 church member Beatrice Smith sold the church the land at its present site for $85.
