March Primary election results

Falls County voters went to the polls on March 1. 

Results in contested races were the following:

Kaylah Rosas won the Republican primary for Justice of the Peace Precinct 1. Rosas won 60 percent of the vote to challenger Cassandra Salsiccia’s 40 percent of the vote.

In the Republican primary for County Commissioner Precinct 4 there will be a runoff between Nita Wuebker and Rodney Hall.

Wuebker won 38 percent of the vote and Hall won 31.27 percent of the vote. Challenger Clayton Edward Herrington won 30.68 percent of the vote.

Laurie Reneau Smith won the Republican primary for District Clerk. She had 64 percent of the vote to Tyler Scott’s  36 percent.

Jay Elliott won the Republican primary for County Judge with 59.41 percent of the vote to Jace Albright’s 40.59 percent.

In the race for State Representative District 13 Dennis D. Wilson won the Republican nomination and Cedric Davis Sr. won the Democratic nomination.
