Preparations for Golden Years Reunion begin

Seven members of the Wednesday Study Club met on Wednesday March 8 to make preparations for the Golden Years Reunion to be held on Saturday April 1, 2023.

It has been a custom to insert obituaries from Rosebud High School class members into their designated year album.

Carol Stock had collected numerous such obituaries and WSC members determined class year and inserted into the appropriate album.  Members straightened chairs and tables as well as relocated several pictures.

Mary Ann Mitchell has done a tremendous job of gathering football pictures and articles and placing them chronologically into an album.  Diane Pagel continues to work on the World War II albums.  All albums will  be on view along with class yearbooks at the Golden Years Reunion.

Members had a delightful lunch of Miller’s chicken salad sandwiches, chips, dip, and Sam’S assorted cookies provided by Norma Burns, Diane Pagel, and Candy Fikes.

Invitation letters to RHS Golden Years Reunion Members have been sent out and reservations should be returned as soon as possible.

The planned activities for the day include:

9-11 a.m. - Rosebud Museum will be open

9-11 a.m. - Mary Lee Stubbs Memorial Room at D Brown Library will be open

11 a.m. to 2 p.m. - Registration and visiting at St. Anne’s Center

2 p.m. - Business Meeting, Distinguished Alumnus Award, Recognition of Classes

3 p.m. - Catered meal

2:30-4:30 p.m. - Visitation after business meeting. Class pictures optional

The Wednesday Study Club welcomes all former RHS students to visit the Library and Museum on Saturday, April 1, and reminisce about those great times at Rosebud schools and the town of Rosebud before they attend the Golden Years Reunion.
