Preservation Rosebud ready to welcome visitors

Preservation Rosebud members are readying the museum to welcome Rosebud High School golden alumni and their guests to a morning reception from 9-11 a.m. on Saturday, April 1.

The museum is located at 117 N. Second Street, just south of the D. Brown Library.

A variety of baked goods including coffee and juice will be served. Guests will be able to tour the museum, which is wheelchair accessible with the new ramp, and linger with friends in the new boardroom.

This reception at the Old City Hall/Fire Station building was first held in 2014 and the response convinced President James Prothro to make it an annual event. The open house was the brainchild of Marla Zipperlen Wallace, who spends many hours in preparation. Sponsoring the refreshments again this year are Donald and Delores Zipperlen, Greg and Marla Zipperlen Wallace, Carson and Helen Maresh Wallace, James Prothro, Alfred Martinez, Les and Fran Heugatter, and Donald and Carole Willoughby Schmidt. Being especially honored this year is Pauline Wallace Grover, RHS Class of 1938.

Preservation Rosebud always welcomes new members. Lifetime memberships are available for $200 and annual memberships are $15. La Verne Schedule Withers will be accepting contributions and dues from the visitors. Memberships and donations may also be sent to Treasurer Marla Wallace/Preservation Rosebud at P.O. Box 792 Rosebud, TX 76570.
