Rosebud Blooms

SPOTLIGHT ON:

Muffins Country Kitchen sits at 300 U.S. Highway 77 North in Rosebud. Its sign boasts a pink cowgirl hat straddling a pair of boots and a bright green cactus. Inside, owner Sara Lemons and staff dish out some mighty tasting food.

“Last July, I really didn’t intend to open a restaurant! I was going to open a salon, but so many people kept stopping by and asking me when the new restaurant was going to open that I finally went home and told my husband that we were going to open a restaurant,” Lemons said with a chuckle.

She says her husband told her, “You don’t know how to run a restaurant!”

To which she replied, “Well, I guess I’ll learn because that’s what everybody seems to want!”
