School Board researching school marshal program

The Rosebud-Lott ISD School Board has appointed Dr. Steven Brownlee, the schools Superintendent, to do further research for the possibility of allowing an appointed school marshal on the school grounds. If the School Board appoints an individual to become the school marshal, that person must first pass an 80 hour course, followed by an exam.

He/she will be armed at all times. It will not be necessary for anyone other than the Board to know the identity of the appointed marshal. The board will discuss it further after the school safety exam to see if they want to go any further with these discussions.
