SCHOOL BOARD OF THE YEAR
Rosebud-Lott ISD has been named the 2025 School Board of the Year by the Texas Rural Education Association (TREA). The district was selected for its outstanding commitment, dedication, and passion in shaping the lives of students. The board will be honored at the TREA Outstanding Teacher and Youth (OTY) Awards Luncheon on Tuesday, June 24, during the association’s annual conference. In addition to statewide recognition, the board will receive a commemorative award.
These awards, given annually by the Texas Rural Education Association, recognize outstanding leadership and governance that exemplify dedication, innovation, and excellence in education.
The Board of Trustees was named a finalist for their “exceptional governance, strategic decision-making, and steadfast support of the district’s mission and goals.
Their collaborative leadership has fostered a culture of trust, transparency, and academic excellence,” according to a previous press release from the district announcing the nomination.
“We are honored and humbled to be considered among the top educational leaders in the state,” said Dr. Rosebrock. “This recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire team—students, staff, parents, and community.”
TREA also congratulated all finalists and praised Rosebud-Lott ISD for setting an inspiring example of educational leadership.
