Sessions visits Falls County after storm

Congressman Pete Sessions visited Falls County on Saturday, Feb. 20.

“Falls County endured a treacherous once-in-a-century winter storm. I was moved to see how the community rallied together, neighbor helping neighbor,” said Sessions.

The official met with Falls County Judge Jay Elliott and Falls County Sheriff during his time in the county, pictured above.

“I am proud of law enforcement and public officials, like Judge Jay Elliot, who worked tirelessly serving the county on the front lines,” Sessions continued.

Elliott took the county’s problems and pulled in every resource he could to help the constituents.

The judge brought in a number of pallets of water and personally delivered them to the elderly around the county who were unable to pick it up.

The three elected officials put their heads together to come up with a plan of how to restore the community to pre-storm workings.

“Now, we must methodically evaluate the steps necessary to avoid this happening again.” Sessions remarked. “Then, we must take action.”

“We are Texas tough. We will recover and overcome.”
