Special Olympics torchbarer chosen from Rosebud

Special Olympics Texas (SOTX) athlete Leticia Vasquez (Rosebud) is one of six athletes from across the state selected to serve as a torchbearer at this Friday night’s Summer Games Opening Ceremony, being held at UT-Arlington’s Maverick Stadium. The 48th annual Summer Games is SOTX’s largest competition of the year, featuring nearly 3,000 athletes from all around the state of Texas. Events get underway on Thursday, May 25 and will run through Sunday, May 28.
