Summer Reading Party at Library

Kids were treated to a fun, educational concert from singer Will Parker at the D. Brown Memorial Library.

In past years librarian Anita Bishop has invited different performers to put on shows for the kids. Last year a magic show was put on, and before that was a nature program. Bishop finds performers through a network on other libraries.

Parker put on an interactive show, mostly about animals, from his latest album “Animal Maniac.” He describes his music as songs for kids ages one to one hundred. During his shows, Parker performs with guitars, ukuleles, harmonica, and raps. He also plays for other venues such as birthday parties, and school functions.
