Those donkeys came to play

Last year, Rosebud- Lott Independent School District re-introduced the game of Donkey Basketball to the community after a long period of time without it. And it certainly proved to be popular as school officials, students and community members signed up to participate in the game which basically goes exactly as it sounds. Participants jump on the backs of the donkeys, and ride them up and down the court (if they are able to stay on) and try there best to shoot the ball into the hoop.

Following the return of donkey basketball it left everyone in the community and school waiting in eager anticipation for its return the following year. Last week, on Thursday February 8, it did just that. Not only was the gym at RLISD completely filled to max capacity, leaving many standing around the sides, but they also managed to sell out all of the tickets. Tickets were on sell for only $6.00 for pre-sale tickets and $8.00 for tickets sold at the door.
