Vintage Rods of Temple Organizing Benefit Car Meet for Hill County Flood Victimes

Vintage Rods of Temple, a classic car club with deep roots in Central Texas, is inviting auto enthusiasts to take part in a special open car meet with all proceeds benefiting victims of the recent Hill County floods.

Unlike most specialty shows, this event will welcome vehicles of any make, model, or year — from antique restorations and hot rods to modernday classics. Registration is open to all, and participants may enter more than one vehicle. The entry fee is $30 per car, with all funds directed toward flood relief efforts.

Event organizers stress that the final date and location of the meet will be determined once they gauge community interest. “We want to bring the car community together for a good cause,” said club member Wayne Heugatter. “The more participants we have, the greater impact we can make for those affected by the flooding.”
